The longer answer
Signal scores every one of the 166,845 London companies it tracks each week from public registers. As of 1 October 2026, 256 score 60 or more and are counted as in market for an office move, fit-out or refurbishment; 17 score 80 or more and are moving imminently. 400 have a lease expiry or break inside 18 months. The movement is uneven: City & fringe (EC) has 97, West End (W) has 40, Southbank / SE has 35; the single busiest district is EC1V with 13; Finance & insurance is the most active sector (52), then Tech & software (32). The count is a model output, not a survey, and it is deliberately conservative — a company needs corroborated public evidence to cross 60. The monthly archive of the figure since June 2026 is permanent, so the series can be cited and compared.
